the road, accompanied by the
®
warning light and a beep, stop immedi-

ÀOil pressure warning light
If it comes on on the road, ac-
companied by the
® warning light
and a beep, stop immediately and cut
the ignition. Check the oil level (refer
to the information on “Engine oil level”
in Section 4). If the level is normal, the
light has come on for another reason:
please contact an authorised dealer.
DBrake circuit fault warning
light
If it comes on during braking and is ac-
companied by the
® warning light
and a beep, it indicates that the fluid
level in the circuit is low or that there is
a braking system fault. Stop as soon as
traffic conditions allow and contact an
authorised dealer.
 Tyre pressure monitoring
system
Refer to the information under “Tyre
pressure monitor” in Section 2.

a buzzer sounds for approximately 10
seconds every 40 seconds, as long as
the vehicle is travelling in excess of 72
mph (120 km/h).

Coolant temperature indicator 7
In normal use, indicator 7 should be

STOP AND START function (2/3)
Conditions preventing the
standby of the engine
Certain conditions prevent the system
from using the engine standby function,
including when:
– reverse gear is engaged;
– the bonnet is not locked;
– the driver’s door is not closed;
– the driver’s seatbelt is not fastened;
– the outdoor temperature is too low or too high (less than around 0 °C or
higher than around 30 °C);
– the battery is not sufficiently char- ged;
– the difference between the vehicle interior temperature and the automa-
tic climate control instruction is too
high; – the “Clear View” function is activa-
ted (please see “Automatic Climate
Control” in Section 3);
– the engine coolant temperature is too low;
– automatic particle filter cleaning is underway;
or
– ...
The message “Auto Stop Unavailable”
on the instrument panel indicates that
the engine is on standby.
To fill up with fuel, the engine must
be stopped (and not on standby):
always stop the engine by pressing
the engine stop button (please see
“Starting, stopping the engine)”.
Special cases
– While the system is operating, and the engine is stopped (traffic jam,
traffic lights, etc.), if the driver gets
out of their seat or unfastens their
seatbelt and opens the driver’s door,
the ignition will be switched off and,
depending on the vehicle, the elec-
tronic parking brake will be automa-
tically deployed. To restart and reac-
tivate the Stop and Start system,
press the start button (please see
“Starting, stopping the engine”).
– In the event of the engine stalling, if the system is operational, press
down the clutch pedal as far as it will
go to restart.

OPERATING FAULTS (4/6)
On the roadPOSSIBLE CAUSES WHAT TO DO
Steering becomes heavy. Assistance overheating. Consult an approved dealer.
The engine overheats. The
coolant temperature indica-
tor is in the warning zone and
warning light
® comes on. Engine cooling fan not working. Stop the vehicle, switch off the engine and contact an
approved dealer.
Coolant leaks. Check the coolant reservoir: it should contain fluid.
If there is no coolant, consult an approved dealer as
soon as possible.
Vibrations. T yres not inflated to correct pres-
sures, incorrectly balanced or dam-
aged. Check the tyre pressures: if this is not the problem,
have them checked by an approved dealer.
Radiator:
If there is a significant lack of coolant, remember that it must never b\
e topped up using cold coolant while
the engine is very warm. After any procedure on the vehicle which has involved even partial drain\
ing of the cooling
system, it must be refilled with a new mixture prepared in the correct p\
roportions. Reminder: only products approved
by our Technical Department may be used for this purpose.
